Refer a friend and you'll both get a gift card worth £20 to spend at a retailer of your choice

To be eligible to refer a friend under our scheme, you must be an existing Home Emergency Assist customer with a home emergency or appliance cover product - or both.

Referring a friend couldn't be easier - you just need to fill out our referral form and we'll do the rest. We'll email your friend to let them know you've passed on their details and direct them to further information about our policies, and to get a quote.

You can send as many invites as you like - but you must have your friend or family member's permission to pass their details on.

Once you've completed your form, your friend will get an email from us. Your friend must click through from their email and purchase one of the qualifying home emergency or appliance insurance products on the dedicated 'refer a friend' page. This will allow us to track their purchase correctly. It's important they do this, otherwise you and your friend will not be eligible for the gift cards.

Once they've completed their purchase, you won't need to do anything else. We'll verify their details and send you and your friend your gift cards via email - this can take up to 90 business days.

You will qualify for a £20 gift card once your friend has purchased a home emergency and/or appliance product, as long as the terms and conditions of the scheme are met. Your friend will also qualify for a £20 gift card.

After your friend purchases a home emergency and/or appliance product, we'll need some time to set up their account and check that all the terms have been met. If they have, we'll send you and your friend your gift cards within three months of their policy start date. Remember that:

• they must not have been a home emergency or appliance cover customer within the last 24 months.

• if your friend makes a qualifying purchase but then cancels their agreement within 60 days of the policy start date, you and your friend will no longer be eligible for the gift cards.

• your friend must not be in arrears on their policy.

You can refer any friend or family member but only if they aren't already a Home Emergency Assist customer for any home emergency and/or appliance cover product.

That means:

• if you refer a friend for a policy with us, they can't already have a home emergency or appliance product with us or have held one within the last 24 months.

• you can't refer yourself

You can refer as many friends and family members as you like and there's no limit to the number of referral rewards you can earn, as long as you and your friend(s) meet the term of the 'refer a friend' scheme.
